AMERICADE 2009 - Great Weather and Big Turnout
Lake George, NY: Americade 2009 started with cool, damp weather and finished with the best weather of the Spring.
And despite the fact that major events preceding Americade reported significant decreases in attendance, by week's end Americade 2009 matched the near-record attendance of 2008. Even the parking lots for Americade’s trade show, TourExpo, were totally filled with riders enjoying the chance to gather in the sun.
Many TourExpo vendors reported record and near-record sales, and one major manufacturer offering demo rides at Americade's social HQ, Roaring Brook Ranch, reported that they set a new all-time record for demo rides given. Here are some quotes from this year:
