"Motorcycle Suspension 101"

Author and motojournalist Tracy Martin presents a fun, one-hour seminar that explains the basics of motorcycle suspension. The concept of spring preload and suspension sag will be covered. How suspension damping works and what high and low speed compression and rebound damping do for handling will be discussed. A demonstration of how to measure front and rear suspension “sag” will be presented at the end of the program.
Tracy Martin has ridden all types of motorcycles for over 40 years. When he’s not riding, Tracy writes for Motorcycle Consumer News, RoadBike, 2 Wheel Tuner Power Sports and Dealer News magazines. Author of three books, Tracy co-authored the MSF’s Guide to Motorcycling Excellence, Second Edition. In addition to writing, Tracy teaches the Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic with Lee Parks, author of the book Total Control.
