Americade 2006

The more things change, the more things stay the same.
I always thought that statement was pessimistic, but now I see that you can
take some comfort in it.
When things are looking bleak, and you feel you're stuck in a rut,
maybe you've just been losing sight
of what you've got. |

Americade 2005
More Good Reasons To Go Back Every Year |
|
If you ever hear me say I don't want to go back
to Americade, hit me upside the head with a fish stick. This year,
I complained for days before the event, moaning about deadlines,
rain, and lack of vacation. But, as usual, as soon as
I got to Roaring Brook Lodge and found myself in the
company of fellow journalists and riders,
I was engulfed in hugs and handshakes and smiling like
a lunatic. It was good to be back.

Ameri-moments Americade!
|
|
Gather 40,000 riders in one area for a week-long rally,
riding and eating and attending events, and it's tough to
summarize the experience. However, I'm a
tough guy and am going to give it a try.

23rd Annual Americade |
|
Hot humid days followed by late
afternoon showers complicated riding choices for
attendees at the 23rd annual Americade in Lake George,
NY. This rally, which many consider the best-run
motorcycle rally in the country, has grown from 2,000
attendees 20 years ago to a reported 60,000
bikers in 2005. |
