International Trike Week at Americade
January 9, 2007
Lake George, NY, January 9, 2007 In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Bill Dutcher, Founder of Americade, commonly hailed as the World’s Largest Motorcycle Touring Rally, announced the launch of the first annual “International Trike Week at Americade,” in Lake George, New York, June 4-9, 2007.
“Its common knowledge that trikes are one of the fastest growing segments in the motorcycle industry. Each year we see more trikes at Americade and we are thrilled to launch “International Trike Week at Americade” as the newest addition to the rally’s attractions.” according Dutcher.
Americade has collaborated with long time triker and motorcycle safety expert, Pete Woodruff, who has been a regular presenter at Americade for over 10 years, to coordinate and set the stage for Americade to be a triker destination every year.
The “International Trike Week at Americade” line-up is already underway. Lake George’s new Wingate Hotel will play host to hundreds of trikers, whose three wheel machines will create a sea of trunk murals, chrome, customized features that few traditional bikers ever have the opportunity to see. Trikers will enjoy a Trike Boat, Trike Minitour, social events, and a Wednesday morning trike show to make “International Trike Week at Americade” a pivotal event in the rally season.
Americade boasts an attendance over 60,000 (although local estimates often place the crowd figure much larger), making Americade the world's largest organized motorcycle convention.
